Black Buck ThreeBlack Buck Three was the third of the Black Buck missions attempte by an RAF Vulcan bomber, supported by Victor tankers during the Falklands War. As with the previous Black Buck missions, Black Buck Three was intended to attack Port Stanley airfield. This mission was to take place on May 13th, 1982, but was called off when it became apparent that headwinds would have made the mission extremely difficult both for the Vulcan itself, and for the supporting Victor tankers.  |
