Black Buck Two


Black Buck Two was the second of the Black Buck missions carried out by an RAF Vulcan bomber, supported by Victor tankers during the Falklands War.

Black Buck Two took place on May 4th, 1982, and like Black Buck One involved bombing Port Stanley airfield using twenty-one 1,000 lb bombs. The two missions damaged the runway and forced the Argentines to withdrew their fast jets (including Mirage IIIs) back to the mainland.
